God created us in His image with dignity and purpose. He created us to experience His love. He has entrusted us with His authority and only requires one thing from us—that we believe and trust His words to us!
God gave each of you an important job regardless of your employment status. He gave the preacher AND the stay-at-home parent the same honor of using His name to go to the masses. He puts a value on life that no other religion or philosophy could have imagined. Are you seeing more than your own little world?
There is a place where sickness cannot stay, and you are equipped with more than enough to answer every need of every good work. There is a place where peace, dignity and love rule in your daily walk. When you call on Jesus He comes to live in you—and He makes YOU the place where all things are possible!
Jeremiah said to God, “I can’t because I’m too young.” Isaiah said, “I can’t because I am a man of unclean lips.” David said, “I can’t because what are humans before you?” Jesus was different. He said, I am and I can. “I am from my Father and as my Father works so I work” (John 5:17). He has given us a new way of thinking about ourselves!
You are not a “sinful worm” saved by grace. Stop seeing yourself as a beggar! You are not a moocher, but a producer! You have been given power to become a child of God! You have been given power to produce wealth! You are an heir of God and a joint heir with Christ! YOU HAVE A DESTINY!
In Jesus’ parable of the talents (Matthew 25:14-30), the ruler over the servants expected increase, so he took the money from the non-producer and gave it to the producer. This might change your thinking about staying in a welfare system. Apparently God, who is love, does not expect His people to live a lifestyle that is content to rely on free handouts!
Throughout our lives as believers, a very important message we can “preach” to those around us is the example of our lifestyle. People notice when we don’t react or breakdown under pressure, standing on the faithfulness of God’s Word in every situation until we see the deliverance of the Lord!
What do you have that makes you rich? You have been given righteousness, which gives you a new self-image. You have been given eternal life, which gives you perspective and purpose. You also have been given authority, which is the right to exercise power over all sicknesses, all bondages and all demons!
Paul had an interesting view of himself. He thought of himself as a man who had died and awakened to a second chance at life. He considered himself a dead man, yet still breathing. Dead men do not get offended at other men. Dead men do not scream back when they are screamed at. Dead men can be poked, kicked, mocked, and spit upon, and they still do not respond. The devil and his followers have no weapons when Christians do not respond in fear to their evil threats and actions.
In 2 Corinthians 5:20-21 Paul tells us that we have been called Christ’s ambassadors. What does that do for me? I don’t know if you travel, but I travel a lot and when you cross that national border there’s always a line that says, “Ambassadors.” They get to go through the front line at customs and security, they’re always treated special, and they move through first.
So when I hear him calling me “Ambassador,” I put my shoulders back and stand a little taller! You see, I don’t have to cower and bow my head and look down because I’m a Christian and everybody seems to be against Christians…no! I lift my head high, I put my shoulders back and walk with a spring in my step because I know in Whom I have believed.
And even more, I know the One Who has believed in me. The Apostle John says in 1 John 4:19 that it’s not that we first loved Him, but that He first loved us! Hallelujah!
