Many fail to receive what God has already given to them because they believe what their natural senses and other people tell them, instead of believing what God tells them in His Word!
Character is forged in the arena of temptation. We are all tempted to be arrogant, selfish, lustful, and angry, as well as other destructive forces that can work on our soul. The legacy of a man or woman is the character in which they handled their temptations.
Many people believe in Jesus but are scared of the devil. If you are born again, the devil should be afraid of you! Why? The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead NOW LIVES IN YOU! You are saved—you are healed—you have been delivered! You have been set free to walk in the same power and authority that Jesus did in the earth!
We’re living in a day when all we’re hearing from the world is talk of what we don’t have, used to have, would like to have or should have. In the midst of this “lack-speak,” It’s very important to take stock of what you DO have. If you are a child of God, then you know you have Jesus Christ living in you, which means ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!
So many voices in the current events we face today are shouting, “It’s too hard! You don’t have what it takes! You’re not going to make it!” At that moment when things are hard—when you feel like you will fail and you want to quit—lock down on the Word of God and do NOT give up. EVER!
You can actually enjoy the process of going through tough moments by looking for the good in them. The things you can change, by all means change, but the things you cannot change should not have the ability to dominate your life!
Think about it—how can a human connected to the Creator of heaven and earth ever be without an idea? How can a person with the Spirit who raised Christ from the dead dwelling within them ever feel intimidated by another person or circumstance?
If you get into a boat and just sit there on the river, you’re going to go wherever the current takes you. But if you want to go somewhere new and different, you have to put the paddle in the water and go against the flow!
Jesus is not only with the Christian but He is IN the Christian; yet many are full of fears and worries, gloom and doom—waiting for a bail out by something bigger or “better.” Only when you know and understand Who is both with you and in you, will you will rise to the new levels of confidence to walk in the position of authority you have been given!
When Jesus called Lazarus forth out of that tomb in John chapter 11, He said to the people, “Unwrap him and let him go.” Why is this important? Because many of us still wear the “clothes” of bondage to sin, sickness, disease, lack, fear, etc. But you and I have not only been brought back to life, we have been unwrapped and set free, and transitioned into a new kingdom where we now have the authority to change things!
