What is the fight of faith? It is continually directing my mind to think and speak like scripture says, rather than focusing on the circumstances. It’s identifying with God’s ideas more than my own, and holding onto HIS Word when outward appearances look otherwise!
Jeremiah said to God, “I can’t because I’m too young.” Isaiah said, “I can’t because I am a man of unclean lips.” David said, “I can’t because what are humans before you?” Jesus was different. He said, I am and I can. “I am from my Father and as my Father works so I work” (John 5:17). He has given us a new way of thinking about ourselves!
God never changes but our perception of Him does. You can limit Him to the size of your religion, your problem, or your bank account—OR you can also allow Him to be Almighty God! He is the creator of the universe! Invite Him into your daily decisions. Proverbs 3:5 tells us that when we trust God and acknowledge Him in all our ways, He will direct our paths!
In 1 Peter 5 the devil is called the adversary and is compared to a roaring lion. The devil threatens, the devil growls and tries to scare you, but he has no power—he can only attempt to intimidate you and silence your voice in the world!
Jehovah Shalom means “The Lord is our peace.” This word shalom literally has the essence of nothing broken, everything fixed, everything being repaired. Shalom is total restoration and total peace for all that we need. This is God extending Himself to humanity saying, “I love you!”
If you are depressed—take hope in God! He promises to strengthen you with His righteous right arm! If you are jobless—dare to declare that He WILL connect you with the job you require! If you are in debt—dare to declare you are debt free! Trust Him to guide you to the victories you need!
I find 224 references in the Bible that include the words GOD and GOOD. In the midst of all the turbulence we are experiencing in the earth today, have you taken time to remember that God is the author of Good?
Don’t waste your precious gift of speech by declaring that you’re in agreement with evil, failure, depression, sickness, or fear. Regardless of how bad circumstances may look in the natural, you don’t need to go along with them, because you know and believe that you have a source that cannot be touched by man!
Jesus believes in us, so we should believe in ourselves. We should not be nervous, worried, or doubtful of His willingness to get to us all that He has already provided!
There is no reason for us to lay down and be afraid in these times in which we’re living! There is no reason for us to allow the devil to torment us with fear, because the Bible tells us in 1 Timothy 1:7 that God has NOT given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind—and THAT is the truth!
