At the heart of the New Covenant lies a deep confidence that God has ALREADY DONE everything for us. Our part is simply to respond—to allow Him to do for us and in us what His grace has already given to us. We enter into the rest of faith, believing what God has said and continuing to thank Him for it!
The disciples saw a man hanging on a cross who had been judged guilty of a crime; they didn’t see the crimes of humanity put on that Man. They saw blood flowing from the head, side, and back of a man, but didn’t see the curse of sickness legally removed from humanity and put on that Man. They saw a man lifted off the ground on a wooden beam, they didn’t see themselves lifted from the control of this world’s system. They witnessed the flesh of one man being crucified, but didn’t realize that the sin nature of all men was being crucified on that day!
When you start comparing sicknesses saying, “Well, that’s just a runny nose but THIS is cancer!” what you’re really saying is that Christ’s sacrifice wasn’t powerful enough to overcome ALL sickness and disease. Stop looking through your natural eyes and look through the eyes of faith! It is the same GRACE that covers us all!
If Jesus walked into the room in person, would you do what He said? If so, then treat His Word in your hand just as you would Jesus in the flesh. When you do, the Bible will cease to be a history book and will instead become one of experiences to be discovered and lived!
You never have to lose your enthusiasm for life. There’s more to be discovered than years left to live! You have a great future, with unlimited faith potential and flawless truth to fall back on, even in the toughest of times. Don’t let time steal your dreams—God has plans for you!
When you were born again, Jesus took your sin and gave you a clean start. He took your sicknesses and gave you a sound body. He took your pains and gave you relief. Don’t continue to carry things that don’t belong to you anymore!
It’s interesting that in the four Gospels the writers didn’t talk about Jesus’ appearance—His features, the color of His eyes or skin, His muscles, His height, His posture, or His hair. Modern writers focus on these things, but the Gospels are different. They are focused on His words and His wonders! Regardless of what we look like, Jesus is to be our model in love, compassion, response, action, authority, wisdom, purpose and power!
When doubt, fear and opposition come my way, I tune in to the one who lives on the inside of me and something begins to happen! I become bigger than life, because the Greater One lives on the inside of me. Scripture is clear, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13)! That may sound unusual to you, but the imagination is a powerful tool that God has given us to bring His Word to life in us!
In the face of storms, Jesus spoke peace and all became calm. In the face of taxes, He said to go fishing and gold was found. In the face of lack, He spoke blessing over bread and multiplication occurred. In the face of devils, He spoke a word and they were cast out. In the face of corrupt governments, He remained steady while they trembled in His presence. We are called to walk in His likeness!
Never forget that the miraculous seed of God put into a person by hearing and agreeing with words spoken by God in His Word is as powerful today in YOUR life as it was in Mary’s life, when she heard the word from an angel and agreed to let it be as it was spoken to her!
