Faith never judges according to the sight of the eyes, because it is the evidence of things not seen but promised. Faith rests on far more solid ground than the evidence of the senses—the solid ground of the Word of God. Our senses may deceive us, but God’s Word abides forever!
The practice of medicine is a blessing of the Lord given to us by God, and I encourage you to pray for your doctor. Pray that he or she would have wisdom in working with you, but remember, we are not to accept the doctors’ report as the final report. Instead, believe the Word of God that proclaims, “By His stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5).
As a young believer I remember watching a popular Christian television broadcast. While I was listening, the show host looked through the television camera and said these words, “there is a young woman out there who has suffered from tremendous back problems, in fact you are in pain right now.”
He proceeded to describe exactly what I was doing at that moment, where I was laying and what I had just said in my heart to the Lord. I was ASTONISHED! As he said these words, it felt as though a warm heat from heaven was coursing through my body.
I KNEW he was talking about me, this was a word of knowledge. God had given him a special revelation about my situation and I began to thank the Lord—the pain was leaving my body!
The gifts of healings, working of miracles, and the word of knowledge are God’s special gifts to us!
There is no condition too difficult for the Lord! Jesus healed every disease and sickness. The scripture promises that gifts of healings are available.
There are multiple gifts and multiple types of healing available for the infirmed. What an encouragement to realize that God has your condition covered!
What is the key to the prayer offered in faith? Call someone who believes God is healing today, and expect that when you are prayed for God will honor His word!
I have heard so many people ask, “What if I lay my hands on the sick and nothing happens?” “What if they aren’t healed?” My answer is simple: healing always comes!
It is not YOUR responsibility to determine when healing manifests, it is your opportunity to act on God’s Word. Healing always comes through acts of obedience whether instantly or over time. It is GOD’S responsibility to honor HIS Word. You simply must act in faith—expecting that God will do what He promised!
When you place your hands on the sick, you are making the God-connection for healing with that individual. You are praying and releasing the power that rests within you. According to the scripture, the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is dwelling in you. His Spirit that lives within you defeated death, hell, and Satan, the enemy of our faith (Romans 8:11)!
To the religious leaders of Jesus’ day healing was easier, even acceptable. To the religious in our day, forgiveness of sin is easier and acceptable. But, by one sacrifice Jesus Christ made both forgiveness and healing available to us!
When Jesus spoke, sickness, disease, poverty and affliction would flee. You and I are in the same structure of authority as Jesus. When we speak, things happen!
Miracles have the amazing ability to silence the voice of those who do not believe, for there is no greater evidence of the effect of God’s love and forgiveness upon a soul than an undeniable miracle!
