The message of the Gospel is spreading all over the world, but it is sad that not all who accept salvation also believe in healing—even though it is the same thing! In the time of Jesus and his disciples it was as natural to pray for healing as it was to pray for salvation. People believed and were healed!
Do you understand that when Jesus died on the cross He took all your sins and all your sicknesses? The Lord Jesus delivered you from the devil’s captivity and gave you freedom—freedom from any kind of bondage, sickness and disease. Jesus Christ died for all our sins, for all our sicknesses, for all our problems and needs!
So often our circumstances shout, “This is impossible! It’s over! It won’t work! You’re wasting your time!” Sometimes even your closest friends or your spouse would say, “What are you doing? This is stupid! What faith are you talking about? Who is Jesus? Just forget about it!”
At that moment when things are hard; when you feel like you will fail and you want to quit, believe in the Word of God and do not give up!
I believe with all my heart that as children of God, we are entitled to be healthy! I believe that God did not create sicknesses and diseases! Everything that the Lord made was “Very Good”!
Although it is good, it is not necessary for someone to lay hands on you for you to be healed. The truth is, you can pray by yourself and believe in the healing, because the Lord said, “And all things, whatsoever you shall ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive,” (Matthew 21:22).
The Bible is God’s medicine for you, because by reading the Bible you strengthen your faith. Then as Jesus said, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him that believes,” (Mark 9:23). The Apostle Paul wrote, “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God,” (Romans 10:17). This is why it is so important to read the Bible—to take God’s medicine!
The Bible says that Jesus took our diseases and infirmities upon Himself. If this happened 2,000 years ago, it means I am already healed! You might ask, “How is this possible? I am still in pain! Leslie, you’re saying that I am healed, but I don’t feel healed.”
The fact is that God has already healed us. However, sometimes it takes time to accept your healing. What you must do is believe and expect to start feeling healed!
On which day of creation did God create sicknesses and diseases? Everything was good in the Garden of Eden. There was no death, no pain, and no destruction. God did not create illness; therefore, it is not His will for you to be ill!
Our Father said, “Ask, and you shall receive, that your joy may be full” (John 16:23-24). God is good!
“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened… If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?” (Matthew 7:7-11).
How should we ask? With confidence. How should we seek? Earnestly. How should we knock? With perseverance and confidence. “Father, I believe in Your Word. I believe that Your Word is true, and I expect to receive an answer from You.”
Unfortunately, this world is imperfect and there are many diseases, but God has given us protection from all of them. We can compare it with the door of our house—we lock the doors so that no stranger can get in. Similarly, we need to learn how to use the Word of God to resist all diseases and infirmities and walk in divine health. And if an illness comes knocking in our house, we can shut the door and lock it securely.
