When Jesus called Lazarus forth out of that tomb in John chapter 11, as soon as He called him forth He said, “unwrap him and let him go.” Why is this important? Because many of us are still wearing the garment of the old man and all that comes with it, instead of putting on the new! If you are in Christ you have not only been brought back to life, you have been unwrapped and transitioned into a new kingdom!
Jesus destroyed our spiritual enemy! Now our mission is to allow the Word of God to renew our minds and transform us, so we can effectively walk in this life He has purchased for us and be agents of the authority we have been given!
If you are born again you are IN Christ and He is in you! He took away everything you had in Adam, and gave you everything that He had, including the dominion and authority Adam lost to Satan. This includes dominion over sickness, disease, lack and fear—Jesus has given you a brand new identity!
Scripture tells us in Jeremiah 29:11 that God has plans to prosper you. He has planned for your health and your future. There is a destiny that is before you so believe it! And don’t stop there—expect it, plan for it, dream it, speak it out loud!
It is only when you get a revelation of who Jesus is and who you have been made to be IN Him, that you can begin to understand how you are capable of living, and what you are capable of doing for God. Revelation—it is my motivation!
Have you seen the cross of Jesus Christ? Have you recognized the fatal blow it delivered to the devil’s authority over you? Are you experiencing the resurrection power of God now available to you in forgiveness, deliverance, health and every area of your life?
You should never be too busy to say goodbye to your old self with its past habits, thought patterns, and mistakes of yesterday, and hello to all you have been given in your resurrected life in Christ. “You have put off the old self with its practices and have put on the new self. You are being renewed in knowledge according to the image of your Creator” (Colossians 3:9-10 HCSB).
Ephesians 1:6 says that we are seated together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. That’s not a future promise, it’s a present reality that will help you greatly as you navigate the tribulations on this earth. Our position in Christ is secure, because we’re not sitting next to Him, we are positioned IN Him, and He is IN us! When we understand this and look at ourselves from His perspective, we will rise above the mountains and the enemies before us!
Many people fail to receive what they pray for because of lack of understanding about confession. The word confession in the Greek language means “saying the same thing.” This means we are to believe and say only what God says in His Word about our sins, sicknesses and everything else included in our redemption. When we affirm what God says about it, He watches over it to make it good!
Jesus gave Peter power to walk on water, but the devil stole it away by getting him to fix his attention on the wind (representing things we feel) and on the waves (representing things we see). Peter had the power and used it, but then lost it by doubting. If we will keep our focus continually on Jesus, we will walk in the miraculous!
