With the advent of Jesus’ life, miracles became the foundation upon which everyday life was to be built. No longer were miracles to be a mystery or strange phenomenon, but they were to be front and center on the table of life!
Moses sent twelve men to spy out the land. Ten of the spies saw themselves as mere grasshoppers in the sight of the giants that lived in the land. Two of the spies had a different perspective. They saw the giants through God’s eyes and they said, “these giants are bread for us!” (Numbers 14:9 KJV) What is your perspective on healing? Has healing become a giant in your life?
In Exodus 23:25, God revealed Himself as the Healer. He said to His children, “and you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and He will bless your water and He will take sickness out of the midst of you.” God’s promise is to bless our table with healing. As Psalm 23:5 says, “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.” In the presence of our enemy sickness and disease, we can sit down and partake of the bread of life!
Even in the worst-case scenario when you find yourself apart from God, apart from promise, and apart from hope, you can still find what you need. God has designated healing as a basic part of His covenant with humanity.
Jesus is alive! He does not speak from the grave, but He has risen in the hearts of His people. Without miracles Christianity becomes just another religion!
Miracles reveal God’s desire to meet the needs of His people.
Miracles demonstrate of the will of God.
Miracles confirm the words we speak.
Miracles are proof of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Jesus said, “You shall receive power after the Holy Spirit has come upon you.” This is the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead, defeated Satan in hell, and provides the same dynamic results that Jesus experienced while on earth!
Miracles are not meant to be a special happening available to only a few people. Miracles are available today and they demonstrate that God is alive and not dead!
When a person recognizes how much God loves them and they call on the name of Jesus, He enters into their heart and brings peace with Him. At the moment that peace enters in, sickness and disease flee. The person may not even know when they were healed; they just know that something has happened in them.
The name of Jesus has been whispered throughout the generations, and it is an echo of God’s love from the foundation of the world until now, and throughout all eternity!
