Jesus said in John 6:35, “I am the bread of life, and whoever comes to me will never hunger, and the one who believes on me will never thirst.” Have you pulled up to the table today and taken hold of the promises that God has for you?
Our tongue is the unseen part of our body that plants the seeds for future harvests. It is guiding us to either a safe harbor, or to destruction. What we say of ourselves, our relationships, and our future is more prophetic of our life than anything even the greatest prophet could foretell!
Moses sent twelve men to spy out the land. Ten of the spies saw themselves as mere grasshoppers in the sight of the giants that lived in the land. But two of the spies had a different perspective. They saw the giants through God’s eyes and declared, “these giants are bread for us!” (Numbers 14:9 KJV). When everyone around you is talking about giants, who are you going to believe—the grasshoppers, or GOD?
Scripture tells us in the book of Hebrews that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. What does that mean for you? That means that if 2,000 years ago He healed, He forgave sin, He died for one person—then throughout all of time and eternity this same Jesus died for you, forgave you, loves you, lives to give you life, and came back from the dead so you could experience all that He has for you!
There are millions who are born again, but their lives don’t reflect it because they were never grounded in the value and life-changing importance of what they have just received. Salvation is a wonder and a miracle! If you don’t understand salvation, then you won’t appreciate the Savior.
If you can get a proper perspective, or image, of how God sees you as a new creation in Christ, and how you see God in light of His love and care for you, then you will build a foundation that cannot be moved by the storms of life. It cannot be moved by negative reports or the appearances of circumstances that you are experiencing in your world!
Jesus’ sinless life given for us, His blood shed for our sins, His body broken that our bodies might be restored, His death in poverty that we might find the riches of eternal life—take some time to remember all that Christ has done for you in his death, burial and resurrection!
If Jesus lives in you, you have a miracle inside you! All His purpose and power is now able to grow and develop in you, as you get to know Him through spending time with Him in prayer and reading His Word!
This is the Church’s finest hour! If Jesus is alive as we proclaim, then He has the power to change men and answer prayer. He has the power to establish nations and create peace. He has the power to produce wealth and heal the sick. Where is that power? It is in us!
Regardless of how uncertain things may appear around you, it is vital that you stay strong in the face of adversity, and know that the goodness of God rests upon you! Now more than ever, take the time to grow in intimacy with Him through His Word and prayer, and experience both His love for you and His reassuring hand upon you.
