Jesus knew His mission. He was set to go to the cross, and on that cross He would pay the price for our sin, for our peace, for our sicknesses, and for our diseases. He took upon Himself all our punishment on that cross. He had come to earth to forgive us of our sins and to heal us of our diseases!
The world has forgotten what God looks like. Religion has hidden Him behind walls and ceremonies and shrouded His Word in mystery with their dead traditions. By comparison, Jesus came saying, “‘If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also’”(John 14:7). Jesus offers us a relationship with the Father like the one He had!
In a day when so many think and talk of what they don’t have, or used to have, or would like to have, it’s very important to take stock of what you DO have. If you are a child of God, then you know you have Jesus Christ living in you and you are never alone!
God created us for dignity and with a purpose! He created us to know His love and goodness through our relationship with Him, and to take that love and goodness out into the world with us and share it with others. How do we do that? “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give”! (Matthew 10:8)
We must always remember, the Cross precedes the Power. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son.” The love of God is what motivates us to minister the life of God to people as they are healed, delivered and set free!
Scripture tells us in Ephesians 1:6 that we are seated together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. That’s not a future promise, it’s a present reality that will help you greatly as you navigate the challenges you will face on this earth. Our position in Christ is secure, and if we will look at ourselves from His perspective we will rise above the mountains and the enemies before us!
Jesus paid the price for our sin and sickness and disease on the cross. So it’s not, “I’m GOING to be healed,” but rather, “I AM healed already! Not because I feel healed or look healed, but because the Word of God is more powerful than the way I feel or look!”
You might have been born into a poor family, with a poor education and poor friends in a poor neighborhood, but you do NOT have to stay there! There is no one limiting you. You are not a prisoner of your past, your neighborhood, your status or lack of education. When Christ comes to live in you there is a new power in operation!
Never allow your fears of what people think of you prevent you from sharing the gospel. You are the worker God has sent to intercept for Christ every life that intersects your path. Don’t let those opportunities pass you by!
We are given a truth that cries out to the ages for all who are broken, defeated, bound, weak, sad, lost, sick and fearful. What is that truth? It is the discovery of a NEW BEGINNING. God is not trying to repair what sin and satan have broken; He starts you off as a brand new being!
