If you make a habit of focusing on the physical evidence in your body or the appearance of the circumstances around you, more than on what the Word of God says, your life will reflect the reality and the results of that pattern of believing!
God never changes but our perception of Him does. You can limit Him to the size of your religion, your problem, or your bank account—OR you can also allow Him to be Almighty God! He is the creator of the universe! Invite Him into your daily decisions. Proverbs 3:5 tells us that when we trust God and acknowledge Him in all our ways, He will direct our paths!
In 1 Peter 5 the devil is called the adversary and is compared to a roaring lion. The devil threatens, the devil growls and tries to scare you, but he has no power—he can only attempt to intimidate you and silence your voice in the world!
Jesus demonstrated that He will be in the midst of any pit you find yourself in when He went ahead of you to the lowest pit of all. He went to hell with your worst problem, the sin which separated you from God. If you’re born again He lives in you now, so there’s no valley too deep, no pit too dark, or storm too strong, where you won’t find Jesus there with you ready to deliver you!
Jehovah Shalom means “The Lord is our peace.” This word shalom literally has the essence of nothing broken, everything fixed, everything being repaired. Shalom is total restoration and total peace for all that we need. This is God extending Himself to humanity saying, “I love you!”
God has revealed Himself as Jehovah-Shalom, which means the Lord is our Peace. Shalom means nothing broken, nothing missing. It means completeness (in number); safety, soundness (in body), welfare, health, prosperity, peace, quiet, tranquility, and contentment. He wants to be all these things to you! Receive His peace!
I find 224 references in the Bible that include the words GOD and GOOD. In the midst of all the turbulence we are experiencing in the earth today, have you taken time to remember that God is the author of Good?
Can there be a more important decision than the one that determines where we spend eternity? Every other decision seems trivial at best when compared with this one. Yet billions, myself included, have made casual assumptions about salvation that we would never make about any other decision!
The practice of medicine is a blessing of the Lord given to us by God, and we encourage you to pray for your doctor. Pray that he or she would have wisdom in working with you, but remember, we are not to accept the doctor’s report as the final report. Instead, believe the Word of God that proclaims, “By His stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5)!
What you think is a seed. What you believe is a seed.
What you say is a seed. Understanding this truth removes the foundation for failure in your life and replaces it with hope! We can no longer point the finger of blame for our situations at what the government is doing or not doing for us. We can’t blame our bad circumstances on a lousy economy, bad parents, bad friends, or a bad environment. The future is what we sow for!
