“Fill me up Lord!” Have you heard that statement before? Perhaps you’ve even cried that out yourself. Our mentor always said, “Pour yourself out and the Lord will fill you up!” In our quest for more I think we’ve missed the point. It’s as if we’ve forgotten that the unlimited Christ is already dwelling INSIDE US! This means we can think like Him, talk like Him and act like Him, pouring ourselves out to the world around us!
There is nothing that controls your personal life more than what you believe. Your feelings are the fruit of your thoughts. If you are feeling stuck in life, or are having negative feelings and emotions in an area, ask yourself what you have been believing about those things. Why? Because if our thoughts aren’t agreeing with what God says about it, we are believing a lie. God’s Word brings life!
What picture are you forming your beliefs around—the picture of your past, or the picture of what God says about your possibilities and potential? Don’t allow your past experiences to determine what you believe. Instead, allow God’s Word to transform your mind and heart, and amazing experiences will follow!
All the promises of God are ‘yes’ and ‘amen’ (2 Corinthians 1:20). I walk in the promises of God. That means I walk with a “YES” in life. I walk with a positive expectation. “Yes, Lord, You promised to heal me – Yes! You promised to provide for me – Yes! You promised to guide me – Yes! You promised me favor wherever I go- Yes!”
It is amazing to think that we are no longer pawns in the hands of fate. We are no longer driven by winds of circumstance, people whims, or popular propaganda. We are at the fate of our own words. Jesus has voted YES for us. While we were sinners, He laid down His life and took the penalty of sin in our place. The devil has voted against us, and WE are casting the deciding vote by the words that are continually coming out of our mouths!
Romans 8:11 tells us that the power of the Holy Spirit that dwells in our own spirits as believers was sufficient to raise Christ from the dead! Meditate on that truth, and make the conscious decision to allow that power to move into every part of your physical body with the life of God that overcomes every sickness and disease!
We may see the multitudes of people in the world in many ways. Some of those ways can make us want to condemn them, but Jesus always sees people as a beautiful, precious harvest, ready to be gathered. A harvest has several characteristics: it is valuable, it must be gathered or it will be lost, and it is URGENT. Time moves quickly and then the opportunity is gone. “I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work” (John 9:4).
Matthew 7:11 says, “If you then being evil know how to give goods unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good gifts to them that ask Him?” Not only is God NOT using sickness, disease and lack as a tool to make us learn something, He clearly tells us that He has a great desire to answer our prayers and to meet our needs!
Two people can hear the same message and it can change the life of one forever while the other falls asleep. You only benefit from something to the degree you value it. The Bible says it differently: “Therefore consider carefully how you listen. Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what they think they have will be taken from them” (Luke 8:18).
The world is hungry to see a living Jesus who will confirm His Word with signs following, proving He is the same today as He was 2,000 years ago. The world sees enough of the devil, it’s time for God’s people to manifest! “For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the manifestation of the sons of God” (Romans 8:19).
