Faith never judges according to sight or feelings, because faith is the evidence of things not seen but promised. Faith rests on far more solid ground than the evidence of the senses—the solid ground of the Word of God! The reality your senses are experiencing may disagree at first, but when you remain immovable on the truth of God’s Word, your experiences will change!

In the darkness of this world, we need a North Star. We need a fixed point to guide us through the night. We need something that will not change. People change, denominations change, economies change, governments and religions change—but JESUS DOES NOT CHANGE! He must be our fixed point. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. We can anchor our lives to Him and He will carry us through the night and the stormy seas!

If you have confessed Christ as your Savior, God lives IN you and nothing can separate you from Him. No sin can control you and no sickness can have authority over your life unless you permit it to. How do you stand against these things? You come to the place where you declare that regardless of what you may see, hear or feel, the Word of God is the ONLY truth in the matter, and anything to the contrary is a lie. It is how you will live, the words you will speak and the only thing you will agree with, no matter what others may have to say about it. “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free” (John 8:31-32).

God has given us the sacred right of choice about our future. He’s also given us His Word and the wonderful power of faith to make our choice a reality. We can choose to fear that the economy will go down and take us with it. We can choose to fear that the doctor’s reports of cancer, heart disease, or a thousand other diagnoses are the final word. We can choose to fear tomorrow and fold up, or we can spread our wings of faith, believing and declaring that God’s Word is true and our lives will demonstrate the fruit of it! The facts of our faith put us in the realm of God. Jesus said, “All things are possible to him who believes” (Mark 9:23)!

The wonderful truths of Christianity raise us from nobody to somebody, from simple to wise, from weak to courageous. These unmatched truths become living realities in a person when that person hears and chooses to believe them. What makes us like God and not like robots is our ability to choose!

As we enter this New Year, I encourage you to spend additional time with the Lord, tuning in to His signals from heaven! We have antennae designed to pick up God’s wavelength. Let’s fine-tune the signal and not ignore the transmissions He is sending!

What will the future hold as you stand once again on the threshold of a new year? You can declare with confidence that you are more than a conqueror in every situation as Romans 8:37 declares. Why expect the worst when ALL things are possible to those who believe, as Jesus has spoken? Why believe it will be a time of fear and isolation, when Jesus said I will never leave you nor forsake you?

Whatever is in your heart in abundance is what’s going to come out of you when you find yourself in the difficulties of life. How do you prepare to overcome in every situation in 2026? Spend time in God’s Word! Proclaim God’s Word and remind yourself of His many promises to you. Don’t let the world and the devil throw you into fear and hopelessness—come against those lies with the truth of God’s Word!

At the heart of the New Covenant lies a deep confidence that God has ALREADY DONE everything for us. Our part is simply to respond—to allow Him to do for us and in us what His grace has already given to us. We enter into the rest of faith, believing what God has said and continuing to thank Him for it!

You never have to lose your enthusiasm for life. There’s more to be discovered than years left to live! You have a great future, with unlimited faith potential and flawless truth to fall back on, even in the toughest of times. Don’t let time steal your dreams—God has plans for you!
