You are destined for success! But to get there, you have to put off your old thought life and put on the thought life of a new creation. Your old way of thinking is who you were in Adam, and is what most people are accustomed to because that has always been their reality. But you, as a New Creation in Christ, have a DIFFERENT reality that has is based on what GOD says, NOT what the world or past experience says. The world thinks, “this is the way it is, therefore this is the way it will always be.” No! You’re a NEW Creation! Get in the Word and bring your thinking up to KINGDOM reality!
What are you expecting from God? If you’ve experienced a major financial setback, then you must, against hope, believe in God’s promise to supply all your needs (Phil. 4:19). Or if you’ve received a serious diagnosis, then you take the promise of God that say you were healed by the stripes of Jesus (Isaiah 53; 1 Peter 2:24) and other healing scriptures, and you meditate on them until they become more REAL to you than whatever the report says. You begin to hope—to expect—that you ARE healed and your symptoms are leaving, NOW. You expect that, because God sent His Word and healed you, and delivered you from every one of your destructions. These are is His promises to us TODAY!
If you’ve been in a situation that has been ongoing to the place where you’re finding it a challenge to keep believing and declaring God’s promises, remember this: the God of the universe, our FATHER, has given us His Word and declared to us, “THIS IS TRUTH.” That means that what He says is REAL. His Word, His truth, is REALITY. The enemy and the world continually come at us with the same, “has God really said?” lie used on Adam and Eve. “Can you really trust God? Are you seeing it in your life? It must not be real!” So ask yourself, whose “real” are you connecting with? When you take the promises of God and become fully persuaded that what HE says is truth, regardless of what you may be feeling or experiencing in the now—they will become your REALITY!
There is a place in Christ where you lack nothing. That place may surprise you—it may appear to be a lifeless, famine field! Your faith and actions make the difference in how your environment responds to you!
You should never be too busy to say goodbye to your old self with its past habits, thought patterns, and mistakes of yesterday, and hello to all you have been given in your resurrected life in Christ. “You have put off the old self with its practices and have put on the new self. You are being renewed in knowledge according to the image of your Creator” (Colossians 3:9-10 HCSB).
Many people fail to receive what they pray for because of lack of understanding about confession. The word confession in the Greek language means “saying the same thing.” This means we are to believe and say only what God says in His Word about our sins, sicknesses and everything else included in our redemption. When we affirm what God says about it, He watches over it to make it good!
God tells us in 2 Corinthians 9 that He gives seed to the sower. What seed from God do you have that you can sow? His Word is full of seeds, they are the truth of who you are in Christ, what you have, and what you can do. Find those seeds and start sowing them into your heart, speaking them over yourself each day. Water them with your faith and patience, and watch transformation begin to take place as you see the Word becoming alive in you!
Jesus gave Peter power to walk on water, but the devil stole it away by getting him to fix his attention on the wind (representing things we feel) and on the waves (representing things we see). Peter had the power and used it, but then lost it by doubting. If we will keep our focus continually on Jesus, we will walk in the miraculous!
Scripture says in Philippians 4:4, “Rejoice in the Lord always. And again, I say rejoice!” These are victory keys! Take any unbelief, expose it and bring it before God. It’s real and it’s attacking your mind. And then give glory to God, rejoicing in what belongs to us in the name of Jesus. And your faith shall be made strong!
Many times it’s not that we need more faith, it’s that we need to recognize when unbelief is standing between us and the promise of God. This is when we put the Word of God in our mouths and say, “All things are possible for the one who believes (Mark 9:23)! And I believe, so doubt, you move out of my way NOW in the name of Jesus!”
