“For as many as are the promises of God, in Christ they are [all answered] “Yes.” So through Him we say our “Amen” to the glory of God” (1 Cor. 1:20 AMP). Regardless of whether you or anyone else has experienced it—you are saying Amen to that promise and agreeing that it is yours!
There are two things essential to humankind’s sense of well-being. First, we must feel secure, and second, we need to feel significant. Our security is tied to our relationship with Jesus, while our significance is tied to our impact on our world. When we realize that there are people who God has prepared for us to speak to, and that every life is important to Him, then our value is enhanced. What we do has an eternal impact!
If you are born again, the abundant life in Christ has already been given to you. God has already done it! There’s nothing you have to “get” because you already have it—but if you don’t know what you have, the enemy will continue stealing the fruit of it from you. This is why it’s so important to read your Bible! Once you learn what belongs to you—you can believe it by faith, speak it out and stand strong in it. It WILL come!
The thing standing between God and humanity was sin, and God removed that sin by laying it all upon Jesus. Now the devil has nothing in you, just as he had nothing in Jesus. The sin problem is fixed and your enemies have been cleared away (Zeph. 3:15). Now Jesus’ life is your life, His purpose is your purpose, His redemption is your redemption, and His resurrection is your resurrection!
Jesus suffered for all your diseases instead of you. He has already crucified all your sicknesses and diseases. Through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, you and I are completely healed from every sickness! The Bible says so in Isaiah 53 and 1 Peter 2:24. This IS the will of God for you!
Do you see yourself as a totally new creation, or are you still thinking and living like the old, sin dominated person that Jesus went to the cross and gave His life to destroy? Apostle Paul said, “It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me” (Galatians 2:20). This is what celebrating Resurrection Day is all about!
In order for God to work with us we are going to have to cooperate with Him. If we want to receive total victory and deliverance, it’s not enough to simply KNOW that God knows and understands and cares. We must go on from there and DO what His Word says! Cast ALL of our anxieties, ALL of our worries and ALL of our concerns upon Him, for He cares for us! (1 Peter 5:7)
We should never be skeptical of realizing the great promises we see in God’s Word, but must respond to them with a YES, even if we haven’t seen them happen yet. We’re not trying to be confident in our own ability, but rather in HIS ability to move and work through us!
When you are in Christ, the devil and his minions have no authority or power over you. They can’t hurt you and must do as you say, because you’re acting in the place of Jesus when you speak in His name. Jesus put Satan under, judged him and cast him out, and demons know that they have to flee at His name!
You are made in the image and likeness of God. What type of life does that produce? It’s a life full of adventure and expectation of new things every day. The resurrection life you received from God is not a timid, grave-tending life. It’s fearless and enthusiastic, greeting God with a childlike, “What’s next, Papa?”
