Breathe the air of expectation! God has a lot to do in a little amount of time with us. Expect to see Him around the corner. Expect to hear Him and expect that He will speak through you when you open your mouth. We are all He has to work with, so expect Him to use you!
So often our circumstances shout, “This is impossible!” “It’s over!” “You’re wasting your time!” Sometimes your closest friends or even your spouse might say, “This is stupid, what are you doing? This faith stuff isn’t working!” I plead with you—at that moment when it’s very hard and you think you will fail and want to quit—BELIEVE in the Word of God and DON’T GIVE UP!!
You did not choose to be born. You didn’t choose your family, your color or your looks, but you CAN choose your future. Jesus said, “I am the way.” He did NOT say, “I am one of the ways,” or, “In my opinion, I am the way.” He knows your design and exactly what you need. Your soul cannot find rest until it finds its Creator.
The kind of true and unselfish love that doesn’t think of itself is only possible when you see yourself already taken care of by your Lord. If you really believe you are totally provided for, then you can switch your thoughts off yourself and on to others!
This is not a time to be a casual Christian! This is the time to thank God you have a Bible—that someone paid the price to put these Words into your hands—so that in the midst of a deluded and demonically influenced world you can know and walk in the TRUTH!
Don’t let life, people, past failure or your present condition keep you from the seed of a dream in your heart. It doesn’t matter how bad your past is. You might say your sins are as dark as mud, but even a glass of mud will be drinkable if you keep pouring clean, fresh water into it!
Faith is an act of your will. YOU must decide the Word of God is true. It doesn’t work just because God wants it to work, the Word of God works when you put it to work by making the firm decision to believe it is true!
Your identity is your concept of who you are. You’ve been given an identity by God and a name that is above every other name. Declare your God-given identity: “I am healed by the stripes of Jesus!” “I am born into the kingdom of God!” “I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus!”
How do you begin to live a life of consistent results? You can begin with your thoughts! Fill the treasure chest of your mind with the truth and expectation from God’s Word, instead of the thoughts of fear and dread the world is continually trying to infect you with. When you make a practice of this, life will begin to look as bright on the outside as you are making it on the inside!
In order for God to work with us we are going to have to cooperate with Him. If we want to receive total victory and deliverance, it’s not enough to simply KNOW that God understands and cares about us. We must go on from there and DO WHAT HIS WORD SAYS! Cast ALL of our anxieties, ALL of our worries and ALL of our concerns upon Him, for He cares for us!
