The choice is ours. If we won’t see and embrace the truth of how God sees us and thinks about us, we’ll be doomed to a life of perceiving ourselves as helpless, weak, and subject to circumstances. That’s called prison, and it’s NOT how God created us to live!
Moses sent 12 men to spy out the Promised Land. Ten of the spies saw themselves as grasshoppers in the sight of the giants that lived there. Two of the spies had a different perspective. They remembered what God had said and knew that NO giants could defeat them (Numbers 14:9 KJV). Where is your perspective right now? Has something become a giant in your life?
It is never wise to blame God, life, circumstances, the government, the economy, family, neighborhood, the past or anything else for the life you are experiencing right now. The truth is, whatever you have sown, you will reap. But the good news is, if you don’t like where you are right now, you can use that truth to turn things around!
In these days in which we’re living, it’s vitally important to understand that Satan has NO power! The only so-called power he has is what we relinquish to him when we believe his lies over the Word of the Living God!
What God has written in your heart, when spoken from your lips, is like a spiritual magnet that draws the favor, circumstances, and people necessary to see it fulfilled. Temporary course changes, shortage, shrinkage, or setback does not affect future fulfillment!
Sometimes we forget as believers that God has given us resources to make our lives easier. We can declare the promises of God over our lives and fully expect them to produce God-kind of results!
Jesus paid the price for our sin and sickness and disease on the cross. So it’s not, “I’m GOING to be healed,” but rather, “I AM healed already! Not because I feel healed or look healed, but because the Word of God is more powerful than the way I feel or look!”
The average Christian has a hit or miss attitude towards prayer. For some it is an afterthought when all else has failed. Jesus Himself challenges us when He tells us we are to expect specific answers when we pray (Mark 11:24). Without answers our faith life will dry up, as will our excitement in following Christ. The only difference between us and just another religion is answered prayer!
The Spirit of God dwelling in us gives life to our mortal bodies (Romans 8:11), and we call on this life to arise and strengthen us. The power dwelling in us was sufficient to raise Christ from the dead! Surely this power can infuse our bodies with enough life to overcome every sickness and disease!
The disturbances and confusion of the world is not a call to a monastic life, but rather a call to a higher thought life. Our victory is not found in fleeing the pressures of a secular world, but in keeping our thoughts in line with God’s thoughts in the midst of Satan’s bombardment.
