Train your thoughts on JESUS! Change your words to what GOD says! The scriptures are clear, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7 NIV).
We’re living in a day when all we’re hearing from the world is talk of what we don’t have, used to have, would like to have or should have. In the midst of this “lack-speak,” It’s very important to take stock of what you DO have. If you are a child of God, then you know you have Jesus Christ living in you, which means ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!
So many voices in the current events we face today are shouting, “It’s too hard! You don’t have what it takes! You’re not going to make it!” At that moment when things are hard—when you feel like you will fail and you want to quit—lock down on the Word of God and do NOT give up. EVER!
You can actually enjoy the process of going through tough moments by looking for the good in them. The things you can change, by all means change, but the things you cannot change should not have the ability to dominate your life!
Never let someone else tell you who you are! Just as Jesus found Himself in the scriptures, you can find yourself in the scriptures too. And when you do, you will discover who you are and who you are called to be!
In the midst of your busy life, take moments that minister to your heart and your spirit. Maybe it’s gazing at a special picture, taking a walk on the beach, or just looking upwards at the sky. Special moments of inspiration and refreshing come when we stop and turn our attention to the beautiful landscapes of life!
We are not designed to continually handle hard struggles, difficulty, shame, lack, stress, and failures. Jesus said, “Come unto me and I will give you rest for your souls.” He also said His yoke is easy and His burden light (Matt. 11:28–30). If you’ve allowed the troubles and uncertainty of the times to pile greater and greater loads of care upon you, it’s time to come back to Jesus and make an exchange. “…Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you” (1Peter 5:7).
The only weapon the devil has is deception, and his only entrance into a born-again believer is through the mind. He wants you to grab hold of a lie so he can gain a foothold in your life. Let God’s Word wash your thoughts and keep your thinking on right paths!
How do you begin to live a life of consistent results? Begin with your thoughts! Fill the treasure chest of your mind with the truth and expectation from God’s Word, instead of the thoughts of fear and dread the world is continually trying to infect you with. When you make a practice of this, life will begin to look as bright on the outside as you are making it on the inside!
If you are a believer and are being stalked by fear, you must turn around and face that fear and say, “In the Name of JESUS, fear, YOU LEAVE ME NOW! You have no control over me because my heavenly Father’s arms are wrapped around me and He has saved me, delivered me, and set me free!”
