The Apostle Paul made it clear when he said that we do not receive what God sows, or what others sow—we only receive what we sow, or say, about ourselves. What the Bible says is still true: “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof” (Proverbs 18:21). Our future is as far away as our tongue!
There is no reason for us to lay down and be afraid in these times in which we’re living! There is no reason for us to allow the devil to torment us with fear, because the Bible tells us in 1 Timothy 1:7 that God has NOT given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind—and THAT is the truth!
If your life is unhappy and you feel like a loser, you can probably blame it on wrong thoughts that you’ve developed throughout your life. But the message and purpose of God’s Word is to get new thoughts, a new spirit, new power, and a new start! To REPENT means to change—when you change your thinking, you’ll change your world!
When we see a miracle in evidence, we recognize that miracles come to show us that it is God’s will to do good and not to do evil, to be a blessing and not to harm, to give life and not to curse, and that God is with us. He is for us, not against us!
God can only go where our feet take Him. He can only touch the people we touch. He sees through our eyes and speaks through our mouths. His words are all-powerful, but for that power to be released they must be spoken through our lips of faith!
What does the world need? They need a revelation of the Father—John 3:16—“For God so loved the world.” Do you understand how powerful that is, or have you just skimmed over the surface? Do you take it lightly, or do you realize that this love broke the power of every demonic power that exists?
To be seated in Christ is to take a chair in a high position. There you find your place of rest. When you see yourself seated in this chair, you get a new perspective on your earthly problems. Our prayers are pointed downward toward the mountains on earth below us. We are no longer looking upward for help! A change of perspective can give a change of result!
The practice of medicine is a blessing of the Lord given to us by God, and I encourage you to pray for your doctor. Pray that he or she would have wisdom in working with you, but remember, we are not to accept the doctors’ report as the final report. Instead, believe the Word of God that proclaims, “By His stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5)!
Paul had an interesting view of himself. He thought of himself as a man who had died and awakened to a second chance at life. He considered himself a dead man, yet still breathing. Dead men do not get offended at other men. Dead men do not scream back when they are screamed at. Dead men can be poked, kicked, mocked, and spit upon, and they still do not respond. The devil and his followers have no weapons when Christians do not respond in fear to their evil threats and actions.
The fact that God ever healed anyone is the best proof that healing is provided for us today. The reality that ALL who touched Him were healed in His day paints the picture of reality for us now. If He is the same “yesterday, today and forever,” then ALL who touch Him today shall be healed (Hebrews 13:8)!
