In his book, “The Message that Works,” Dr. TL Osborn includes a chapter about Friendship With God, in which he states that God declares, “You can trust Me, I will trust you!”
Have you ever considered that God trusts you? And therefore you can trust yourself? I believe this is the essence of God’s heart toward you today.
You and I were created for fellowship with God, for friendship with God. Our rightful place is at His side—not under His feet or under His thumb. He doesn’t carry a hammer or a whip, commanding obedience…no, our rightful place is standing arm-in-arm with the living, loving God.
There is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. What does a true friend offer? Unconditional Acceptance, Unwavering Commitment, Unswerving Loyalty. And today, what does Jesus offer YOU? Uncompromising, unwavering support when you don’t know where to turn.
God’s Word never fails to work in those who accept it as such, because they are not entertaining doubts as to its being fulfilled in their own experiences. God has given all His blessing to faith, He has none left to give to unbelief!
When we know something is God’s will, it is not difficult for us to believe that He will do what we can be sure He wants to do.
No one allowing their mind to be ruled by their senses can have victorious faith, because they live in a realm of uncertainty.
Until God’s Word gains control of our minds, we’ll be swayed by feelings and by the things we see and hear, rather than by the Word of God.
Many people lose the manifestation of healing already in operation by turning their attention from Christ and the Word of God, to their feelings.
Every time we confess our doubt and fears we deny the ability of God’s grace, and are giving place for the devil to take hold.
If we want to know what is in a person’s will, we read the will. If we want to know the will of God on any subject, we must read His will!
Many people fail to receive what they pray for because of lack of understanding about confession. The word confession in the Greek language means “saying the same thing.”
This means we are to believe and say only what God says about our sins, sicknesses and everything else included in our redemption. When our affirmation is the Word of God, He watches over it to make it good.
There is no better way to understand the will of God than by reading the gospels. The life of Jesus was a revelation and a manifestation of the unchanging love and will of God. He acted out the will of God for us!
The reason some fail to receive their healing is because they believe what their five senses tell them instead of believing the Word of God.
Jesus gave Peter power to walk on water, but the devil took it from him by getting him to fix his attention on the wind (representing things we feel) and on the waves (representing things we see). Peter had the power and used it, but lost it by doubting.
